The Author

My interest in photography arose from my passion for the sea in the late '80s. As a Marine Biologist and diver, I started exploring photographic techniques to capture life beneath the ocean's surface.
Simultaneously, my work as an Environmental Consultant in the maritime sector inspired me to focus on photographing the coasts and ports of Spain and various countries I visited, especially in Asia. I aimed to capture their landscapes and the lives of their people.
However, it wasn't until 2005, as an enthusiast discovering the possibilities of digital photography and post-processing beyond the moment of capture, using techniques inspired by traditional development, that I sought to advance my self-taught knowledge and experience in capturing images. I moved beyond being a mere spectator to convey the personal meaning and inspiration that motivated each shot.
Little by little, as I progressed in learning and experience, my technique became simpler and more precise, striving to use minimal tools to express the essence of what unfolds before my camera. Above all, I aim to present reality with a sincere and personal approach through photographs that prioritize substance over form, spirit over body, and existence over presence.
